FRED FOX

Hall of Fame Inductee - 2002

Fred Fox began riding at 13 and still rides regularly to work and for recreation.  He has acquired over 60 motorcycles, more than half of which are American made antiques.  The oldest is a 1903 Pope.  This year’s additions include a 1924 WLA, a 1930 JD with sidecar and a 1928 Harley Peashooter.

In 1967 Fox started Parts Unlimited in his garage and built it into the largest motorcycle parts distributor in the country, serving primarily the metric and off-road motorcycle markets.  Fox purchased Drag Specialties in 1988 and has since made it one of the worlds leading suppliers of parts for Harley-Davidson.

Drag Specialties owns over 30 custom Harleys that tour shows and events aboard the Drag semis.  Each year the company commissions four or five new customs.  Fred is Chairman of the LeMans Corporation, and his son Jeff is the CEO.  The company motto is, “We support the sport”, which can be evidenced by the high profile they maintain at all major events.
